DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Power Generation Field Service Technician to join our Distribution Business in (Las Vegas, NV).

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Completing repair activities on generators or components

  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner

  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

  • Maintain detailed records of service

  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

  • Maintain own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following :

  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.

  • High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.

  • Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.

(Proficient):

  • Experience with writing schematics.

  • Able to accurately articulate the process for inspection prior to start-up of the unit.

  • Able to perform multiple (20 plus) LB's with trailer mounted LB's.

  • Able to T/S controls with InPower. Understands T4 & other emission solutions.

  • ⁠ Able to perform repairs on ATS systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Qualifications for Internal Candidates

1: Must be willing to get all safety training and certifications for working with electricity.

2: Must be willing and able to learn to use in-power software.

3: Must be able to operate independently.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Trained Power Generation / Electrical Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Current relevant electrical certification

Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products

High Voltage /Low Voltage practical experience

Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)

Compensation and Benefits Base

Salary rate commensurate with experience.   • A current valid license is required for this role

  • This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

  • This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical

  • 3 years driving experience

  • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use

Federal law requires a commercial vehicle driver to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
