DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business (Indianapolis, IN).
$5000 sign on bonus
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products and other customer equipment in a service shop.
Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines, including utilizing computers/software in the process of diagnostic work.
Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
Completing required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Ongoing training and additional certifications on new and existing Cummins products.

* Qualifications and Competencies
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Proficient knowledge in troubleshooting Cummins electrical and aftertreatment using Cummins Insite.
Proficient work experience in replacing internal components (head, pistons, liners, etc.).
Embrace the Cummins values and use them daily.
Self-starter with a positive attitude that contributes to the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Relevant experience on industrial and on-highway Cummins engine platforms and tools preferred.
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
A current valid license is required for this role
This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
3 years driving experience
This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire

Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
